  • Our team consists of experienced Obstetricians/Gynecologists, Gynecologists, Certified Nurse Midwives and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners.
  • Our full-scope midwifery group values the core fundamentals of midwifery care. Rather than operating as physician extenders, our Certified Nurse Midwives provide exemplary, dedicated midwifery services for patients who may choose that model for pregnancy and routine gyn care.
  • Our on-site ultrasound staff (certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) in our Springfield, Longmeadow, and Agawam offices provide vital ob/gyn scans for rapid clinical turnaround time. In our ultrasound suites patients enjoy large viewing monitors, an important element in our partnership with patients in their healthcare.
  • Our team of four Advanced Practice Gyn Clinicians offers dedicated in-office gyn care for patients seeking routine gyn services such as annual exams, birth control options, STI treatment, common gyn problems, and more.
  • Our physicians and CNMs deliver roughly 25% of the births (BOGG patients) at Baystate Medical Center (BMC) in Springfield, MA; our physicians perform a full spectrum of gynecologic surgical procedures  the region’s only level one trauma center, BMC is a 716-bed independent medical center and a teaching site of the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:
Previous experience as a full-scope CNM, Master’s degree, graduate of an appropriate and accredited nurse midwifery program, active CNM license and prescriptive license (preferably with the state of MA) and Federal Drug Enforcement agency, active AMCB certification, CPR certification.

Skills required include complex problem solving using multiple resources in a manner appropriate to the situation, effective verbal and written communication skills, and experience with technology in a healthcare setting. As this position includes office hours as well as 24 hour on-call shifts, the candidate must be capable of maintaining long and irregular work hours.

Career responsibilities:
In accordance with established midwifery practice guidelines, provide full scope ob/gyn midwifery care to patients in settings including in-office, inpatient, labor, delivery and postpartum management; communicate with on-call physician as needed; order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, write prescriptions and medication orders; work collaboratively with other providers and staff; record all appropriate documentation in an EMR system; respond in a timely manner to staff inquiries as needed;

attend department and practice-specific meetings.
