Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Assignment Details:

• Dates: 11/03/2025 – 06/30/2026
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM, excluding holidays, inclement weather, school breaks, and professional development days
• Rate: $39.75/hour
• Location:
  
  Springfield, MA 01118
• Transportation:
  The nurse will ride the bus from the student's home to school and back. Pick-up and drop-off are at Boland Elementary. Only hours spent providing direct care to the student are paid.

Requirements:

• Current LPN license
• Clear CORI and fingerprint clearance to enter Springfield Public Schools
• Ability to provide direct 1:1 nursing care for a medically complex student

Qualifications:

• Valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Massachusetts
• 1–2 years of experience in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing settings
• Current CPR/AED certification by American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Ability to provide care and ensure safety for medically complex student(s), including lifting and diapering/toileting
• Ability to provide emergency care and assessment
• Knowledge of professional and legal nursing requirements
• Strong human relations skills
• Organizational and administrative skills
• Knowledge of child growth and development
