Registered Nurse IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in a Medical Intermediate Care Unit that combines medical-telemetry and step-down services. Deliver high-quality patient care tailored to acuity levels, ensuring safety and comfort for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Admit, assess, and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex medical needs.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, telemetry, and clinical data to detect changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and manage ventilator and tracheostomy care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment and discharge planning.
• Document care activities thoroughly in compliance with facility and industry standards.
• Float between units, providing adaptable care to patients requiring medical-tele and intermediate care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and meet state licensing requirements.
• Possess 1-2 years of recent experience in an IMC, PCU, or Step-down unit.
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with trach care, ventilators, high-flow oxygen, and cardiac drips.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
