- Lead or support scientific aspects of health services, economic, epidemiologic, implementation sciences, population health, evidence-based care, and policy research
- Contribute to proposal development, research designs, methodologies, analytical techniques, data analyses, and reporting
- Develop protocols, statistical analysis plans, analyses, reports, and publications
- Develop specifications for study databases and analysis files, consistency checks, tables, and figures
- Communicate requirements to the programming group
- Analyze administrative claims, electronic medical records, and survey data
- Review statistical output to ensure research quality and client deliverables
- Ensure the final quality and accuracy of study deliverables
- Present study deliverables and facilitate collaboration among project team members
- Manage relationships with study champions
- Communicate scientific decisions and present key study insights to senior leadership, internal decision makers, and external stakeholders or clients
- MS, MPH, or PharmD in epidemiology, health sciences, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field
- Ph.D. strongly preferred
- Postgraduate or post-doctoral training or relevant experience conducting observational and/or prospective research studies strongly preferred
- Understanding of the U.S. health care system, population health, and social determinants of health/health-related social needs strongly preferred
- Proficiency in statistical software, including SAS, STATA, R, and/or Python strongly preferred
- Proficiency in data management tools, including SQL, strongly preferred
- Experience with large healthcare datasets, including claims data, MEPS, or HRS, strongly preferred
- Experience in implementation sciences strongly preferred
- Proficiency in survey questionnaire development, qualitative interviewing, or mixed-method analyses strongly preferred
- Ability to work in-office 1–2 days per week and within reasonable commuting distance of a posting location
Demonstrates expertise in health services research, epidemiology, and biostatistics, with proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, STATA, R, and Python. Capable of developing research protocols, analyzing large healthcare datasets, and effectively communicating insights to stakeholders.
