Summary
The Alterations Associate performs garment alterations and minor repairs to support store operations and deliver a positive customer experience. The role requires attention to detail, quality work, and meeting customer specifications on time.
Responsibilities- Sew garments and perform basic to advanced alterations, including work on sleeves, backs, sides, collars, and bodices.
- Complete minor repairs and replace buttons.
- Explain alteration services to customers, respond to inquiries, and provide a pleasant, knowledgeable experience.
- Deliver quality work on time while minimizing waste and supporting profitability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of direct experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, use store technology, and frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
