The North America Channel Sales team works with Motorola’s Authorized Reseller Channel Partners to provide business-critical voice & data communications systems to the commercial, enterprise, and education markets. Customers turn to us when they need to ensure worker safety and get important messages out to all staff using their own dedicated, land-mobile-radio based communications network.
Job DescriptionThe Channel Sales Executive (CSE) is responsible for growing revenue from MOTOTRBO two‑way radio subscribers, systems, and accessories in the commercial, enterprise, and education markets. The CSE also drives growth of complementary strategic products such as WAVE broadband devices and services, Avtec voice dispatch consoles, body‑worn cameras, and related services.
Key Objectives- Generate prospecting and key account lists: research, identify, and pursue strategic customer accounts representing the largest revenue opportunities or the most growth able accounts.
- Partner with Channel Partners to identify net‑new logo customers using competitive equipment as well as legacy customers upgrading to MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus and Max digital trunking.
- Utilize Motorola Solutions sales messaging and enablement tools to deliver a compelling headline to customers.
- Create and implement a sales strategy, scheduling prospecting and new business development activities and coordinating meetings with channel partners.
- Regular, weekly prospecting alone and with partner sellers.
- Rigorous calendar management, blocking time for trade shows, networking events, and booking 3‑5 customer meetings per week.
- Complete Motorola sales and product training and continuously educate on solutions.
- Provide guidance on industry‑specific product selection and integration.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities and detailed CRM notes.
- Support partner reviews and mentor new sales representatives.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of sales, customer service, project management, or engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as Salesforce.
Candidate must reside in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine. Travel will be 50‑75% of the time, primarily within the territory with occasional travel outside.
SalaryTarget base salary range: $85,000 – $95,000 USD. Pay within this range varies based on experience, skills, and knowledge.
Basic Requirements- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of sales, customer service, project management, or engineering experience.
