Plant Technician ; Instrumentation and Control Technician

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing operations functions, preventive and corrective maintenance as applicable to job function to ensure proper functioning of plant equipment under the direction of site management. The role also oversees the proper function and maintenance of equipment at a Gas Plant, contributing to the safe, effective, and reliable operation of the Gas fleet. Pay range is $41–$48 hourly, depending on skills and experience.

Eligible for an annual bonus of up to 8%, up to 4% profit sharing, up to 6% dollar‑for‑dollar match toward the employee's 401(k), and medical, dental, and vision benefits for the employee and eligible dependents.

• Proficient in primary skill required of the position.
• Maintain plant equipment, perform troubleshooting, documentation, and assist in problem resolution on shift.
• Execute daily maintenance, overhauls, calibration, repair/replacement, removal/installation of plant equipment and systems.
• Determine and recommend appropriate repair techniques to peers, supervisors, and plant management.
• Conduct excitation system inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Operate material handling equipment proficiently.
• Develop and implement plant operating procedures.
• Understand the relationship of equipment to plant systems.
• Provide instruction and teaching to lower‑level employees when required.
• Strictly adhere to safety, health, and environmental procedures, including Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, and PPE requirements.

• 4–6 years of related experience.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Required state license for applicable states (MA, OH) if applicable.
• Computer‑based skills.
• Effective oral and verbal communication skills.
• Independent knowledge of troubleshooting.
• Must take and pass the Poss/Mass pre‑employment assessment.
• Position level based on experience.

• Completion of Tier 3 training and qualification requirements.
• Continual self‑improvement in job skills and knowledge.
