This position is part of the installation team responsible for the highest quality installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage systems for our clients. This position includes, but is not limited to, travelling and working with our solar PV installation teams in both residential and commercial settings.
Individuals in this position are also required to participate in a Massachusetts Electrical Board approved electrical education program with coursework outside of ReVision working hours, that qualifies apprentices to test for a Journeyperson Electrical license. Per the Massachusetts’s Electrical Board requirements, apprentices must complete a total of 600 hours of board approved classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of supervised electrical experience.
Roles and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)- Maintain participation and remain in good standing in chosen electrical education program and provide timely updates of transcripts and work hours in Apprenti Scope.
- Assist the Lead Installer/Project Manager with quality solar electric installations.
- Assist with project loading to ensure all necessary materials and tools arrive on the job site.
- Assist with overall crew and job site safety.
- Help maintain tools and trucks in excellent condition.
- Assist with general site preparation and clean up.
- Travel to job sites as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must have a clean and valid driver’s record.
- Must have excellent customer service skills in every interaction.
- Effectively coordinate and communicate with others.
- Must be able to comfortably lift 40 lbs, climb ladders, work on roofs and in crawl spaces in varying hot and cold temperatures.
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction techniques.
- Teamwork – able to establish collaborative working relationships with peers and supervisors.
- Basic computer competence including Excel, Word and other commonly used software, including internet and email.
- Must be able to effectively participate in online and in-person electrical training.
- Code of Conduct – act accordingly as a guest at our customer’s home.
- Strong desire to work for a renewable energy company, and interest in developing professionally.
- OSHA 10 hour safety course
