CSO is looking for a Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team in Springfield. This position performs a variety of skilled and semi‑skilled duties in one or more building trades such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining, installing, repairing, cleaning or remodeling agency‑owned and operated buildings and facilities. The role also supports landscaping and cleaning duties to maintain the physical condition and appearance of buildings and grounds.

This is a full‑time, in‑person position offered with a generous benefits package. The normal schedule is 1st shift, 40 hours per week, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. with on‑call duties as needed.

Starting Salary: $36,000–$42,000 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that service requests and minor repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Perform various maintenance functions, including minor repairs that do not require a license, in the areas of electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, and heating/air issues.
  • Maintain equipment and monitor inventory.
  • Operate snow removal equipment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two years of education and/or training beyond high school in general maintenance and repair or a closely related area.
  • Experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
