Founded in 1972 and incorporated in 1976, NCYF offers foster care services, in‑home therapy, outpatient therapy, treatment residences, and therapeutic day programs across multiple locations. Position Overview

NCYF Therapeutic Counselors lead therapeutic activities and community trips, teach and model age‑appropriate social and living skills for at‑risk youth. This position supports patients at Spring form, Westfield, and Easthampton locations during a Monday‑Friday schedule, with the option to pick up 12:30‑6:30 PM shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Co‑lead therapeutic activities and community trips.
  • Model age‑appropriate social and living skills.
  • Maintain proper professional boundaries with clients.
  • Support crisis avoidance and intervention; assess and evaluate situations and guide youth accordingly.
  • Complete daily logs and required paperwork with accuracy.
  • Assist with daily program organization such as cooking, shopping, activity preparation and transportation for clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid driving license in active status and reliable transportation.
  • Work evening hours (program runs until 6:30 PM).
  • Approved CORI, DCF and driving background checks.
