NCYF is seeking engaging, enthusiastic individuals for Relief Therapeutic Counselor positions in our Therapeutic Day Programs for at‑risk youth located in Springfield, Westfield, and Easthampton. The program runs Monday to Friday, and relief counselors typically work the 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM shift at any of the three sites.

• Assist in the development of emotional strengths and life skills for individual youths through co‑leading therapeutic activities and community trips.
• Teach and model age‑appropriate social and living skills.
• Maintain proper professional boundaries and provide support to youth.
• Assess and evaluate situations, guiding and redirecting youth as needed.
• Complete daily logs and required paperwork with accurate reporting.
• Support daily program organization, including cooking, shopping, and activity preparation.
• Provide transportation for clients to and from NCYF sites in agency vehicles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or requested by the supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driving license in active status and reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to work some evening hours (program runs until 6:30 PM).
• Approved CORI, DCF and driving background checks.
