Program Coordinator II

The Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS) is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative Program Coordinator II to join the Community Systems Team. This position plays a key role in strengthening community-based supports and advancing initiatives that improve opportunities and outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism across the Commonwealth. The Program Coordinator II works closely with Area Offices, Regional Offices, Central Office staff, community organizations, providers, state agency partners, and stakeholders to support the development, implementation, and coordination of programs and initiatives that enhance community inclusion, accessibility, and system capacity.

This position serves as a resource across the department, using data, collaboration, and strategic planning to identify needs, support continuous quality improvement, and promote best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
Collaborate with Area Offices, Regional Offices, and Community Systems Team members to plan, implement, and monitor statewide community initiatives. Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, providers, advocacy groups, individuals receiving services, families, and other stakeholders to strengthen community resources and opportunities. Lead departmental efforts related to Assistive Technology by promoting awareness, supporting implementation, identifying emerging technologies, coordinating training opportunities, and serving as the primary resource for staff and community partners.

Partner closely with the Autism Program Coordinator II and the Family Supports Director to develop and coordinate initiatives that enhance services, supports, and community engagement for individuals and families. Support housing-related initiatives by collaborating with internal and external partners to expand housing opportunities, improve access to community living resources, and address barriers to successful community integration. Collect, analyze, and interpret program data to identify trends, measure outcomes, inform decision-making, and support strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts.

Develop reports, presentations, guidance documents, and other materials to communicate program activities, recommendations, and outcomes. Coordinate work groups, committees, meetings, and special projects involving multiple stakeholders across the department and community. Research emerging practices, policies, and innovative approaches that strengthen community systems and improve services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Provide technical assistance, consultation, and training to staff, providers, and community partners regarding community resources, initiatives, and best practices.

Represent the Department on internal and external committees, collaborative groups, and community forums as assigned. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Community Systems Team mission.

Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Knowledge of developmental disabilities, autism, community services, and person-centered supports. Experience building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders across public and private sectors. Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support planning and decision-making. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, facilitate meetings, and deliver presentations.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team. Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and managing complex projects. Knowledge of assistive technology, housing resources, family supports, or community inclusion initiatives is highly desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other data management and reporting tools.
