Backend Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer with hands-on experience in Fiserv’s Fraud Guard product/code base to support and enhance fraud prevention and payment risk management solutions for enterprise banking and financial services environments.
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in the Fiserv Fraud Guard ecosystem, including application architecture, integrations, customizations, troubleshooting, and production support. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, banking/payment domain knowledge, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, configure, enhance, and support solutions within the Fiserv Fraud Guard platform.
- Work directly with Fraud Guard product code base, APIs, rules engines, transaction monitoring workflows, and fraud detection modules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to fraud monitoring, payment processing, alerts, and transaction exceptions.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Fraud Guard and core banking/payment systems.
- Analyze fraud detection workflows and recommend technical improvements for performance, scalability, and detection accuracy.
- Collaborate with business users, fraud operations teams, and compliance stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Support deployment activities, release management, environment configuration, and system upgrades.
- Participate in root cause analysis and incident management for fraud-related system issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with banking security standards, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fiserv Fraud Guard platform and underlying code base.
- Experience supporting fraud detection, payment fraud prevention, or transaction monitoring systems in banking or financial services environments.
- Strong knowledge of:
- ACH/Wire/Card transaction flows
- Fraud detection rules and workflows
- Banking operations and risk controls
- Experience with system integrations, APIs, middleware, and data interfaces.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
- Experience working in Linux/Unix and enterprise application environments.
- Ability to analyze logs, transaction data, and system behavior to identify issues quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Fiserv banking platforms and payment products.
- Experience in financial services, banking, fintech, or payment processing organizations.
- Exposure to Java, .NET, scripting, or related enterprise technologies.
- Experience with cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of fraud analytics, AML, or payment risk systems is a plus.
- Prior experience in high-volume transaction environments preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
