Job Overview – Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager
Compensation: $115,000 – $145,000/year + bonus.
Location: Boone County, MO.
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office).
Atlantic Group is hiring a Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager in Boone County, MO for our client, supporting statutory accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and accounting operations within a growing financial services environment. This newly created role will partner closely with accounting, treasury, finance, and external service providers to oversee reporting activities, accounting operations, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in public accounting or insurance accounting, prior leadership experience, and expertise in statutory reporting and financial analysis.
Responsibilitiesas the Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager
- Financial Reporting: Oversee statutory accounting activities, regulatory filings, financial reporting, and compliance-related reporting requirements.
- Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting functions including ledger activity, reconciliations, claims accounting, revenue recognition, and financial analysis.
- Policy Development: Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support operational consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, treasury, external service providers, and internal leadership to support investment accounting, reporting accuracy, and operational initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff while supporting workflow management, project execution, and departmental priorities.
- Process Improvement: Assist with reporting enhancements, operational efficiencies, trend analysis, and strategic accounting initiatives across the organization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years of statutory accounting experience and prior leadership experience, is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with in insurance, financial services, regulatory reporting, or statutory accounting environments is required.

Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory filings are required. - Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment are required.
