Overview
Join the Margaritaville Lake Resort team as an Accounts Receivable Clerk. This full-time position reports to the Controller, Accounting Department. Compensation is $16.00 per hour. Minimum age: 18. A minimum of one (1) year of hotel front desk experience is helpful.
Responsibilities- Process all direct bills after checkout
- Manage the collection process for all direct bill accounts
- Process and track all tax exemptions for direct bill accounts
- Build individual direct bills in the PMS system
- Track the transient checkout with balances report and collect amounts due
- Process outgoing mail daily
- Answer phones daily, assisting guests with questions about charges incurred during their stay
- Process advance deposit refunds
- Post payments received on a daily basis
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with all departments
- Scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures
- Perform projects and assignments thoroughly, professionally, and with care
- Adapt to high-pressure conditions and be open to change
- Take responsibility for personal growth and development
- Conduct yourself professionally; set standards for all associates
- Understand and communicate the Margaritaville Lake Resort mission
- Express ideas clearly and communicate information professionally
- Actively listen to others
- Convey company information, decisions, or problems to appropriate parties promptly
- Work to resolve disagreements respectfully with peers and co-workers
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
- Possess exceptional mathematical and computer skills
- High school education and relevant training and experience required; additional education preferred
- Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates
