Overview
Financial Operations Manager – leads accounting and finance specialists to deliver high‑quality financial operations initiatives, partner implementations, and funds‑flow reporting to support business growth within Expedia Group’s B2B Finance organization.
Responsibilities- Lead specialists in delivering best‑in‑class financial operations initiatives, partner implementations, and funds‑flow reporting processes.
- Define financial requirements early, align stakeholders, and design accounting process flows for new initiatives and product enhancements.
- Partner in upfront negotiations to translate commercial and operational needs into end‑to‑end accounting and financial process solutions.
- Manage funds‑flow design, operational readiness, reconciliation expectations, reporting requirements, and control considerations for compliant, scalable execution.
- Solve complex operational and accounting problems, embedding sustainable solutions that meet stakeholder and partner needs while maintaining financial control.
- Develop and deliver business cases, project scope documents, requirements documentation, test plans, implementation plans, and rollout communications.
- Coordinate cross‑functional delivery across finance, accounting, product, operations, commercial, and partner‑facing teams to ensure successful execution.
- Identify process gaps, control risks, and improvement opportunities, recommending changes that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Experience in financial operations, accounting, finance transformation, partner implementation, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting process flows, operational controls, reconciliation concepts, and financial reporting requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear financial and operational requirements and manage delivery across multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in cross‑functional environments and influencing business owners, operational teams, and external partners.
- Experience building business cases, defining project scope, writing requirements, supporting testing, and managing implementation communications.
- Structured problem‑solving skills, balancing commercial needs with financial governance and control.
- Proficient written and verbal communication, able to explain complex financial process topics to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; equivalent professional experience acceptable.
Base salary range: $90,000 – $126,000 (Springfield). Potential total compensation can increase up to $144,000 based on performance.
