Accounts Payable Specialist

The Role

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team and help keep our vendor payment process accurate, timely, and fully accountable. This is a vendor-facing, detail-driven role where you’ll receive high volumes of vendor invoices and match them precisely against internal purchase orders before anything gets paid.

You’ll work closely with our Warehouse Manager and Buyer to review stock invoices, and with vendors directly to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong working relationships. The best person for this role brings sharp attention to detail, comfort with high-volume data entry, and the discipline to keep our books accurate and our vendors paid on time.

• Review and receive invoices for dropship and stock purchase orders.

• Communicate with vendors on invoicing discrepancies.

• Work with the Warehouse Manager & Buyer to review stock invoices.

• Generate and review monthly reports.

• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.

• Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.

• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.

• Manage and maintain all communication needed between intercompany departments.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the AP Manager.

• Take ownership and responsibility for your own workload while also supporting the team.

This role calls for someone who thrives on accuracy and doesn’t cut corners under volume.

• Understanding of GAAP accounting principles.

• Familiarity with Brightpearl, Microsoft Excel, and Google Drive is preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data.

• Outstanding math and research skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Proficiency with 10-key typing and data entry.

• Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability.

• Bilingual skills are a plus.

• Salary: $40,000 - $45,000/year plus opportunity for bonus
