Customs Entry Specialist

• Prepare and process customs entries
• Review details and verify compliance data, calculations, and duty policies
• Submit additional cargo information to U.S. Customs and Border Protection before cargo enters the United States
• Process customs clearance and confirm all necessary data and documents are available
• Investigate, resolve, and communicate operational or entry issues
• Review client requirements related to accounting, credit, customs bonds, audit instructions, and billing
• Work directly with Customs and Border Protection and other government agencies
• Review entry details and verify compliance
• Enter all billing charges into the system
• Participate in ISO audits and documentation updates
• Perform other duties as needed
• Work in a fluid, fast-paced office environment and support changing business needs

Requirements

• Required 2+ years’ experience working in customs entry/processing
• Familiarity working with Customs Border Patrol (CBP) or Other Government Agencies (OGA)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
• Proficiency with financial systems such as Cognos and SAP preferred
• Preferred experience working in Cargo Wise (C1)
• Thorough analytical skills
• Proficient written and verbal skills
• Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
• Preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must pass background check requirements related to felony convictions
• Must complete employment authorization verification via Form I-9
