Part-Time Administrative Support Specialist

Work Schedule
• Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week.
• Flexible schedule during regular business hours, with additional hours occasionally required during peak admissions periods and the beginning and end of academic semesters. Reporting Relationship Reports to the Counseling Program Coordinator and Practicum Coordinators works collaboratively with Counseling Program faculty, the Graduate College, practicum and internship coordinators, and community clinical partners.

General Function
- The Part-Time Administrative Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support for the Graduate Counseling Program, with primary responsibility for coordinating admissions processes and supporting practicum and internship operations. This position serves as a central point of contact for prospective and current students, faculty, clinical site supervisors, and university offices to ensure efficient program administration and compliance with university and accreditation requirements.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

- Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
• Administrative support experience, preferably in higher education, healthcare, or a related professional setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic database management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive student information.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with faculty, students, and community partners.

Additional Qualifications

- Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting graduate academic programs or student services.
• Experience with university student information systems, Tevera, or similar field placement management software.
• Familiarity with graduate admissions processes.
• Knowledge ofFERPAregulations and higher education administrative practices.
• Experience coordinating meetings, events, or academic program operations.

• Ability to interpret policies and procedures accurately.
