Position SummaryThe Senior Technician position requires diagnosing drivability and electrical systems while mentoring and leading a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. A sign‑on bonus of $2,000 is available for first‑time hires. Pay is based on a flat‑rate model ranging from $20.60 to $34.15 per hour, reflecting average productivity by region.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑technical customers.
- Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three categories (A1–A8) within the first two years of employment. The company pays test and registration fees and awards a bonus for each test passed.
- Valid automobile driver’s license at all times, with the ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Demonstrated skill in brakes, hydraulics systems, steering & suspension, and alignments.
- Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certifications/laws where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.
- Proficient reading, writing, and math skills.
- At least 3 years of automotive repair experience, with skills demonstrated through third‑party assessments or a completion of a Vocational‑Technical School Program.
- ASE certification in at least one of the A1–A8 categories (L1 certification acceptable).
