Continuous Improvement Specialist (Springfield MO)

The CI Specialist serves as site administrator and primary point of contact for the CNH Reman Business System Repository, ensuring governance, standardization, and alignment with enterprise requirements. The will lead Problem Solving initiatives from our Lean Daily Management and lead 5S Training and events. The CI Specialist also generates reports for management and pillar leads.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Own and administer the CNH Reman Business System Repository, coordinating with IT to develop, automate, maintain, and continuously improve the system to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and long-term sustainability.
  • Provide structured reporting and communication to plant leadership and CNH Reman pillars, delivering timely updates on system performance, training status, and improvement initiatives to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Plan, schedule, track, and document CNH Reman Business System training, ensuring employee participation, compliance, and effective knowledge transfer across the plant.
  • Maintain and enforce the Problem-Solving Tag numbering and documentation standards, ensuring traceability, consistency, and audit readiness within the CNH Reman Business System.
  • Apply project management principles to organize, prioritize, and execute CNH Reman Business System initiatives, demonstrating strong communication, planning, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Actively support Cost Deployment, Focused Improvement, and People Development pillars, contributing as a key team member to drive system adoption, continuous improvement, and cultural engagement.
  • Analyze manufacturing and operational processes to identify performance gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities using data-driven methodologies.
  • Drive Problem Solving Tags through structured root cause analysis (A3, 5 Whys, Fishbone), supporting Business Unit teams through issue closure and KPI improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute inefficiency reports to identify losses, prioritize improvement actions, and quantify financial impact.
  • Support Cost Deployment activities, including Rough-Cut Capacity modeling, efficiency calculations, and productivity analysis.
  • Calculate and validate potential cost savings generated from Problem Solving Tags and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Finance.
  • Perform waste analysis and detailed cycle time studies to optimize process flow and resource utilization.
  • Lead and facilitate 5S and Kaizen events, applying Lean manufacturing tools to standardize processes and improve operational stability.

Maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency related to: CNH Reman Business System data LDM performance, closing Problem Solving tags rates, 5S. Waste analysis, Kaizen and Root Cause Analysis. Indirect and overhead administrative labor for all technical pillars within CNH Reman Business Systems.

Requirements
  • Associate’s degree preferred, or a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in analytics, continuous improvement, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document processes, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended or non-standard hours as required, including occasional second-shift, weekend, or year-end support.
  • Proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize multiple tasks to achieve both personal and organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning and adapting to new technologies, systems, and process-related tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy and consistency over time.
  • Ability to think critically, analyze problems, document findings, and gather relevant data to support effective and timely problem resolution.
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and performance tracking solutions.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including walking, standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching.
