Missouri State University is hiring a Project Manager – Organizational Excellence. The role leads high-impact, cross‑functional projects that align with the university's strategic goals, focusing on project planning, execution, and process optimization. The Project Manager collaborates across departments to improve business processes, ensure data integrity, and support institutional effectiveness through data-informed continuous improvement initiatives.
Highlights- Lead planning, execution, and completion of strategic institutional projects aligned with university priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Provide project management and technical support for strategic planning and implementation efforts.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to streamline workflows and foster continuous improvement.
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability within institutional systems and optimize business processes.
- Coordinate evaluation and testing of new tools, methodologies, and technologies.
- Assist with budgetary planning and project fund reporting in partnership with the Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness.
- Monitor project milestones, provide progress updates, and address challenges to achieve results.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field required;
Master's preferred. - Experience in project management within higher education preferred; knowledge of formal methodologies like Waterfall and Agile is a plus.
- Proficiency with ERP implementations, budget management, data governance, and institutional compliance required.
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Annual salary proposed at $63,000; position is exempt, full-time, and not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Works closely with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Institutional Research, Assessment & Accreditation, and other university partners.
