Job Description
A Paving Foreman oversees and directs daily operations on asphalt paving projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in paving processes, and the ability to coordinate crews, equipment, and materials on active job sites. The foreman may also be required to operate heavy machinery such as skid steers and paving machines, necessitating a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities- Oversee and direct daily operations on asphalt paving projects.
- Ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and meets quality standards.
- Coordinate crews, equipment, and materials on active job sites.
- Operate heavy machinery as needed, including skid steers and paving machines.
- Lead a crew of 3-4 employees and manage projects around the Springfield Metro area.
- Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- 3+ years of experience in asphalt and paving in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership skills with experience running a crew.
- Technical expertise in paving processes and construction management.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manage projects.
Skills & Qualifications
- Commercial paving experience.
- Experience in supervising construction crews.
- Proficiency in construction management and project management.
As a foreman, you will receive a company truck and gas card, providing convenience and mobility in your role.
Work EnvironmentThe position involves working in outside construction settings, with the need for travel around the Springfield Metro area.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Springfield, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00/yr.
