** Assistant Project Manager
** The Assistant Project Manager will collaborate with the Project Manager or other team members to assist with the planning, organization, and management of the day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects.
** RESPONSIBILITIES
* ** Work directly with Project Manager and Preconstruction Teams to understand size and scope of projects along with timelines and applicable project deadlines
* Assist Superintendent in maintaining construction schedule
* Adjust plan as necessary based on field conditions and progress
* Interact effectively with subcontractors to clearly define work scopes, ensure all work items are being addressed
* Acting as direct liaison between Project Manager, superintendent, subcontractors, and vendors
* Read and understand job bid instructions, detailed specifications, prepare a "take off" of materials included in the job, estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, equipment costs to prepare an estimate
* Assess opportunities and risks through plan reviews and site visits
* Assisting Project Manager with bid preparation, review, and submission for Federal, State, County and private jobs
* Assist in development of project schedule
* Promote a safe work environment## Qualifications
** REQUIREMENTS
* ** Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering discipline or Construction Management preferred
* Previous experience in a project management role is a plus
* Ability to read and interpret shop and design blueprint drawings
* Proficient with Microsoft Office software
* Demonstrated ability to promote a safe work environment
* Excellent team and communication skills
* Problem solving and ability to adjust to changing circumstances
* Willingness to travel
