Requirements Academic, Certifications, & Trade Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience required.
Work Experience, Skills and Strengths
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial masonry construction.

Physical Requirements

Summary Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to manage all day-to-day operations.

Accountable for:
  • LMA (Lead + Manage = Accountability)
  • Project management – budget schedule, quality
  • Resource management – labor, materials and equipment
Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Build relationships in the design community to promote masonry construction generally and the company's expertise specifically.
  • Maintain revenue goals by identifying opportunities to bid, developing estimates and bidding and winning work.
  • Manage masonry projects per standard operating procedures.
  • Assist Foremen with enforcement of schedules and scopes.
  • Monitor and report weekly productivity and manage project labor and material costs with foremen.
  • Monitor and administer QA/QC program with foremen with emphasis on QA.Serve as relationship manager for clients and maintain subcontractor, vendor and community relationships.
  • Guide and support project staff, including Foremen and Project Coordinator
  • Remain current with issues and make recommendations for changes to policies/procedures to President as necessary.
  • Effective management and development of assigned staff including training, coaching, mentoring, managing, leading, etc.
Working Conditions
  • Requires the ability to perform essential job functions in an office environment with climate-control and good lighting (60%).
  • Requires the ability to perform essential job functions on construction sites where hazardous materials and activities generally require special precautions, indoors where spaces are small and tight, and occasionally in an outside environment unprotected from weather conditions (40%).
  • Requires the ability to move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc., and constantly requires the ability to remain in a stationary position 85% of the time.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally able move supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Constantly requires the ability to operate telephones, computers, and other general office equipment, and to record written information and maintain files.
  • Requires constant communication with clients, staff, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and others. This person must be able to exchange reliable and valuable information in real time and in a variety of situations.
