• Meticulously and carefully edit books, working to preserve the author's voice, while confirming to academic style.
• Typographical layout and design. Work with book length documents, designing page layouts.
• Apply same typographical layout and design principles to books written in foreign languages.
• Be able to use proofing and markup tools in Adobe PDF and Microsoft Word.
• Maintain accurate digital folders of completed projects, following standard naming conventions.
• Use the tools available to manipulate pages and trims in Adobe Acrobat.

• Bachelor's degree in a field that supports the position, such as English, Bible, Missions or Education. Additional bible or theology training is desired.
• Minimum one year professional editing experience.
• PC Skills (Microsoft Word Suite, Adobe programs including InDesign and Acrobat.
• Strong grammatical and organizational skills.
• Careful attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to edit to various style guides and the requirements of each language.
• Typing 55 WPM.
• Graphic design.
• Customer service.
• General office skills.
