This is a full-time, on-site Proofreader role based in Springfield, MO. The Proofreader will review manuscripts, marketing materials, and other written content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency, ensuring all documents meet the company’s quality standards. Responsibilities include checking formatting, verifying adherence to style guides, and flagging unclear or ambiguous language for revision. The role involves close collaboration with editors, writers, and other team members to meet deadlines and maintain a smooth production process.

The Proofreader will also help maintain style and terminology guides and may assist with reviewing translated content for accuracy and clarity.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in spelling, grammar, and proofreading.

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in publishing, editing, or professional proofreading is highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to focus on details, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Comfort working on-site in a collaborative team environment in Springfield, MO.
• Familiarity with common style guides (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style, APA) is a plus.
