Description:

This position is the front line, key contact for our customers and internal/international sales teams and is responsible for building customer relationships, delivering a flawless experience in every interaction, and complying with customers’ requirements while adhering to SKF policies.

Customer Service

Job Responsibilities
  • Handle an array of customer-facing activities, including interacting with customers over the phone and email
  • Coordinate communication between US operations and other international offices or customers
  • Accurately enter and track orders, follow up on shipments and proactively communicate to customer
  • Provide pricing and delivery information
  • Customer order book management
  • Handle and solve customer complaints, while analyzing root cause and propose preventive actions
  • Act as a liaison between customers, sales and factory regarding new, current, and future requirements
  • Build, maintain and cultivate professional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Work closely with Production Planning, Purchasing, Logistics and the Warehouse to ensure customer expectations are consistently met
  • Communicate with management regarding any irregular issues/concerns observed in territories under export responsibility on a continuous basis
  • Issue credits and debits to resolve any invoice discrepancies
  • Prepare and communicate product return authorizations
  • Provide backup support for other regions as needed
Logistical

Job Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for the global availability and on-time delivery of an assigned product range
  • Responsible for medium to long‑term sales forecasts and capacity planning and coordinate these with colleagues in the regions (Europe, China, India, USA, etc.)
  • Transfer customer orders and forecasts to production orders and purchase orders
  • Ensure the ability to deliver by controlling the flow of materials from the order to the supplier, through the determination of the production sequence to delivery to the customer on time, in terms of quality, packaging and volume
  • Work closely with production, international suppliers, customer service, quality and logistics and participate in improvement activities
  • Together with our purchasing department, further develop the existing supplier structure

Requirements and Qualifications
  • 2–3 years’ experience in an international trade setting preferred
  • Prior customer service experience required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to communicate clearly, effectively and professionally across the organization with all levels of employees and management
  • Strong technical aptitude, good business mentality with the ability to make solid business decisions based on values
  • Must be a motivated self‑starter and team player, interested in being an integral part of a high performing, diversified team
  • Individual must maintain a positive attitude and work very well under pressure in a fast‑paced deadline‑oriented environment
  • Have a solid foundation of Customer Solutions principles and a commitment to providing superior service and solutions to our customers
  • AS400 or equivalent sales order processing systems experience desired
  • Advanced computer and data analytical skills with Microsoft Office Suite
