Position: Dispatcher I - 12 hour days or nights

Week 1 Monday-Thursday 6p-6a
Week 2 Tuesday-Thursday 6p to 6a

Hybrid (Springfield only) C     Week 1 Monday to Wednesday 4p-9pm and Saturday and Sunday 6a-6p
Week 2 Monday and Tuesday 4p to 9p and Saturday and Sunday 6a-6p

Hybrid (Springfield only) D     Week 1 Thursday and Friday 4p to 9, Saturday and Sunday 6a-6p
Week 2 Wednesday to Friday 4p-9p, Saturday and Sunday 6a-6p

Position Summary

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area.

Essential Functions

Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries
Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers
Plan deliveries to inventory-managed food grade customers
Receive orders from suppliers
Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts
Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
Monitor e-mail for incoming orders, inventory updates, and communication between team members
Monitor web portals for station inventories
Solicit freight from customers
Create loads in dispatch system
Responsible for regional dispatch

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of dispatching experience
Excellent conflict resolution and skills
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
