JOB DESCRIPTION - CADD DESIGNER
SUMMARY
Uses CADD equipment to provide support to engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for construction. Makes simple decisions but refers most questions/problems to engineers or supervisor. Has a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology. Possesses mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
Has familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Microstation CAD software. Graduated high school and has an associate's degree in computer aided drafting and math, and/or equivalent experience and training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training related to AutoCAD use is a plus.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Riding and/or driving in a vehicle is commonly required for up to 6 hours at a time.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Most work weeks will be 40 or more hours. Hours are somewhat flexible and some late evenings and/or weekends may be required.
TRAVEL
There may be occasional overnight travel for this position. Some local day travel may also be required.
