Introba is seeking a Senior Associate, Senior Architect, in our St. Louis, MO location. This position will provide architectural design and construction administration services from initial project inception through completion. Previous mentoring or supporting the Architectural Department Lead would be preferred, as this position has potential career advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities- Research, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, building codes, and materials.
- Perform field investigations and evaluations at existing buildings to document existing field conditions and prepare drawings of existing conditions.
- Consult with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements for new structures or renovations, and summarize information regarding design, specifications, color, equipment, furnishings, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Develop building and site designs including the evaluation of alternative building materials, systems, and equipment together with other considerations based on program, budget, and aesthetics.
- Present and explain design of the project to clients and other team representatives.
- Coordinate all components that will comprise the building project—including site, interiors, structural, and MEPFP disciplines—and integrate these elements into a unified design.
- Produce and coordinate drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and other documents during the design process in accordance with established quality standards.
- Coordinate and prepare submittals at appropriate intervals during the design process for submission and review with the client.
- Assist clients in filing documents for government approvals and permits, along with obtaining competitive bids or negotiated proposals.
- Take an active role during construction administration to represent, advise, and consult with the client.
- Assist owners in the organized close‑out of the project, including final site observation and development of punch lists, certificates of completion, and coordination of record drawings and other close‑out documents.
- Maintain an organized project file documenting the entire design and construction process.
- Act as Introba’s primary single source contact from initial project inception through completion, planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to achieve project goals within prescribed time and funding parameters.
- Assist market niche leaders in pursuing potential project opportunities, presenting Introba’s qualifications to prospective clients, and developing and presenting proposals for Introba’s services.
- Administer the agreement between the client and Introba, periodically reviewing the document to ensure client and Introba fulfill respective obligations and establishing a work plan and staffing needs for each project phase.
- Prepare, monitor, and periodically update the project schedule, identifying milestone dates for the entire team and maintaining a good working relationship with all project team members.
- Oversee the production of drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates and other documents, ensuring quality standards are maintained and mentoring assigned workforce for career and skill development.
