12-hour night shifts 7pm-7am, 5-7 shifts per month Average 10 admissions per day with 15-20 call volume 100% inpatient adult neurology care Thrombolytic therapy and EEG expertise required Stroke activation response required 1-6 per shift Annual NIHSS and Modified Rankin Scale certification required 10 hours yearly stroke-related CME required IR consult expertise and critical care experience needed
