Are you a dedicated OB Hospitalist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference while enjoying flexibility? We are seeking a highly skilled locum physician to provide exceptional obstetric care in Springfield, MO. This pivotal role offers the chance to work with a dynamic team in a busy hospital environment, delivering care for approximately 2,700 to 3,000 annual births, including level 3 NICU and potential gynecological emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide obstetric and gynecological inpatient care, including managing labor and delivery
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Handle emergent situations with expertise, including NICU and gynecological emergencies when needed
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently

Required Skills:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Valid medical license to practice in Missouri
• Proven experience in hospital obstetric care, including high-volume delivery settings
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience with Level 3 NICU management
• Ability to handle complex obstetric cases and emergencies
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-residency experience in hospital-based obstetrics
• Previous experience working as a locum or in a hospital setting is advantageous

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start on 12/31/2025
• Current medical license in Missouri
• BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
• Willingness to travel as reimbursed for licensure, certification, and related expenses
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling high patient volumes and emergencies
