Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Springfield, MO

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated OB Hospitalist to join our team temporarily from December 31, 2025. In this role, you will be responsible for managing obstetric care, handling gynecologic emergencies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will be vital in a high-volume setting focused on exceptional maternal and neonatal care.

Required Skills:

• Active and unrestricted medical license in Missouri or eligible for license reciprocity
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN)
• Proven experience managing obstetric and gynecologic cases, including emergencies
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in Level 3 NICU settings
• Proficiency in managing obstetric emergencies such as preeclampsia, labor complications, and postpartum issues
• Familiarity with hospital-based obstetric protocols and procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Minimum 2 years of recent OB-GYN hospitalist experience in a similar setting
• Prior experience in high-volume delivery hospitals preferred

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS preferred or required before start date
• Travel and licensure reimbursement, if applicable
