Job Description Summary

The Peer Education Program Manager will be a key member of the University of Pennsylvania’s effort to provide prevention and education programs for undergraduate, graduate and professional students about sexual violence, domestic/dating violence, and stalking. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing the Penn Anti‑Violence Educator (PAVE) program and related operational management. They will lead program evaluation and department social media communication, in addition to supporting with office logistics, administrative tasks and other outreach initiatives and will work as a critical member of the team on other sexual violence prevention functions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the Penn Anti‑Violence Educators (PAVE) peer education program, including hiring of student workers, student development, serving as a certified peer educator trainer, and managing presentation requests, including partnering with various campus departments
  • Support the planning and logistics of other Penn Violence Prevention programming and serve as operational strategist in conjunction with the Director
  • Create and implement evaluation models for PVP programming for the purpose of reporting and enhancing programming. Establish and maintain processes rooted in creative qualitative data and feedback, generated from student surveys, focus groups, and 1:1 meetings
  • Participate in workshop and curriculum development as well as workshop facilitation
  • Manage and execute Penn Violence Prevention communications and campaigns, including maintaining a robust online presence through social media, the Penn Violence Prevention website, and promotional materials, including graphic design as necessary
  • Provide advocacy, support, and referrals for students impacted by sexual violence, relationship violence, and stalking
  • Support with monitoring and processing transactions related to the office’s financial activities, including purchasing, payables, reimbursements, purchasing card, travel (Concur), journal entries, and special events payments (including honoraria)
  • Represent the office at outreach events and campaigns
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2‑3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with individuals who have experienced sexual violence strongly preferred
  • Candidates with prior knowledge of sexual violence, interpersonal violence, and stalking are strongly preferred
  • Understanding of effective trauma‑informed models of prevention is a plus
  • Comfort with public speaking, facilitation, and engaging with a student audience required
