Job SummarySte Genevieve Catholic Church, Ste Genevieve is seeking a faith-filled, dedicated Art teacher to join our school community. The teacher will provide high-quality, standards-based instruction while fostering spiritual growth and modeling Catholic values.
Job Responsibilities- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate art lessons for students
- Introduce and reinforce art concepts, techniques, and art history
- Foster creativity, imagination, and appreciation for the arts
- Integrate faith, culture, and creativity into art instruction when appropriate
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging art classroom
- Display student artwork and support school-wide art projects and events
- Communicate effectively with school administration and classroom teachers
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback
- Support students’ academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development
- Follow all school policies and Archdiocesan guidelines
- Model Christian values and uphold the mission of Catholic education
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- Missouri Teaching Certification (Art K–12 preferred) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Previous teaching experience in a school setting, preferably Catholic or private.
- Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission of Catholic education.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and nurture creativity across a wide range of age groups and skill levels.
