What This Role EntailsWe’re searching for a Camp Lead who, in partnership with the Area Manager, leads summer camp day to day by building collaborative relationships and ensuring joy for each camper. If you’re a natural-born leader who can inspire joy and empower a team, this position is for you!
Responsibilities- Plan summer camp beginning in the spring in partnership with the Area Manager.
- Partner with program managers at all summer camp feeder schools to coordinate marketing, communication, and outreach to district families.
- Send welcome letters and all necessary paperwork before and after each week of camp; ensure all paperwork is on file for each camper before day one.
- Lead and participate in summer camp live training sessions, including training calls starting in April.
- Act as the day-to-day manager for summer camp staff, creating a working environment where all staff feel heard and take responsibility for parts of the day.
- Coordinate curriculum ordering and daily activity planning.
- Ensure program quality meets Right At School standards, delivering quality summer camp programs using the internally crafted curriculum.
- Create groups in camp that follow the daily flow and camp components.
- Manage and maintain safety standards.
- Ensure that all camper paperwork—including waivers and child care licensing paperwork—is completed.
- Serve as the point person for families and for all mystery guests.
- Work closely with school partners' staff to secure indoor and outdoor spaces needed during summer.

Webster Groves School District.
Start Date:
May (includes in-person training and live training). The position will run through the duration of summer camp and may continue throughout the school year.
Pay Range: $21–$26 per hour, depending on education and experience.
Requirements- Must be 18 years old or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Center Director's Certification from Missouri's Dept. of Education (minimum 60+ students).
- 120 semester hours in an accredited college or university, with 24 of those hours in child-related courses.
- Direct experience in summer camp or before/after school programming highly preferred.
- Must be willing to complete onboarding process, including background check, FCSR, staff health form, first aid certification, TB test, and other state mandates.
