Job Description
Position: 2026‑2027 Coordinator IV – Fine Arts. Starting date:
Jul 1, 2026.
Reports to:
Director III‑Curriculum and Instruction 6‑12. Pay Grade: P170. FLSA Status:
Exempt. Full‑time.
This position supports the instructional program by providing leadership, direction, and coordination for fine arts curriculum and related activities; assisting school personnel in design, development, and alignment of curriculum and instructional methodologies; coordinating professional development; and maintaining services within guidelines and standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Write standards and curriculum for seated Fine Arts courses.
- Develop Fine Arts course standards and curriculum for Launch (online) and Explore Summer School.
- Plan, prepare, organize, and present professional development for K‑12 Fine Arts teachers.
- Plan and organize the K‑8 “Any Given Child” experience.
- Adopt and disseminate resources.
- Coordinate district‑wide music and art events.
- Coordinate staff assignments for K‑5 Art and Music.
- Manage the budget for K‑12 Fine Arts.
- Analyze program and student data to identify issues and recommend actions.
- Coordinate and lead curriculum development committees with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in state and national professional educational organizations.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to maintain partnerships and maximize resources.
- Supervise the selection and allocation of instructional materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Develop and implement budgets to achieve program goals.
- Disseminate information to teachers and principals about trends, instructional strategies, and assessments.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars.
- Prepare and disseminate materials documenting activities.
- Provide research‑based professional learning for teachers and principals.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve problems.
- Transport equipment and supplies as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of four (4) years of related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Special Requirements
- Possession of a Missouri teacher certificate.
- Must pass a satisfactory criminal background clearance.
- Knowledge of basic math and technical information reading.
- Instructional procedures and student activity competencies.
- Skills in technical tasks, office equipment, bookkeeping, leadership, presentations, project management, and records maintenance.
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Scheduling, data collection, and equipment use.
- Collaboration and communication with stakeholders.
- Critical thinking and continuous improvement.
- Confidentiality, priority setting, and deadline management.
- Teamwork and adaptability.
Work is primarily inside; moderate noise and temperature. Light physical work requiring occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and constant lifting up to 10 pounds. Requires physical abilities including balance, mobility, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and speech.
