Part-Time Elementary Spanish Instructor

Description of Primary Duties

• Provide Spanish instruction for students in grades K6
• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, activities, games, music, movement, and technology to support student learning
• Monitor student progress and provide appropriate feedback to students and families
• Collaborate with faculty and administration regarding curriculum, instruction, and student support
• Maintain appropriate classroom management and supervision of students
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional responsibilities as assigned

• Bachelors degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field required
• Missouri teaching certification in Spanish preferred
• Prior experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues

• Experience teaching elementary world language instruction
• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish
• Experience creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences for young learners
• Familiarity with technology integration in the classroom
