Position Highlights

The Office of Undergraduate Admission seeks enthusiastic candidates to represent the University of Arizona and its enrollment management division. The Regional Coordinator of Missouri Recruitment will lead all Kansas City-based recruitment efforts during an exciting time for the university. This role serves as the first point of contact for prospective students discovering Arizona and the Wildcat community.

Travel:
The position requires extensive travel year‑round with peak times in the fall and spring. The coordinator manages all recruiting aspects, including travel, budget, and travel documentation within the assigned territory.

Travel

and Territory Management
  • Serve as a primary resource for prospective students and families to support recruitment, application, and enrollment.
  • Plan, organize, and attend various recruitment and yield events on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Identify, register, and attend high school and college visits, fairs, and other recruitment opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Manage a budget for the territory, including purchasing travel expenses and submitting timely expense reports.
  • Assist other regional admission staff as needed with recruitment events, including limited international travel.
  • Travel frequently to in‑state and out‑of‑state meetings while maintaining a valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle.
  • Communicate the value of an Arizona education through conversation, presentation, and written communication.
  • Provide initial financial aid and scholarship guidance.
  • Support students in completing applications and meeting key dates and deadlines.
  • Oversee the management of the assigned territory market to establish benchmarks to reach recruitment goals.
Application Review
  • Read and evaluate applications, recommending admissions decisions via a comprehensive application review model.
  • Counsel applicants, parents/guardians, and high‑school counselors on the application process, admissions decisions, and merit scholarships.
  • Use training, sound judgment, and experience to consider each student’s academic history and life experiences for admission recommendations.
  • Participate in committee review and shared decision‑making.
  • Utilize Technolutions Slate CRM and analytical tools to maintain a data‑driven, bias‑free process aligned with university and enrollment goals.
Relationship Building
  • Counsel prospective students and families about admissions, financial aid, academic programs, and student life.
  • Maintain professional affiliations with local, regional, and national partners.
  • Communicate via SMS, text, email, phone, and in‑person with active engagement and timely follow‑up.
  • Accurately record engagement and interactions across multiple university systems of record.
  • Develop and grow partnerships with community college advisors and campus partners.
  • Coordinate with high‑school counselors and advisors to nurture relationships and establish rapport.
Strategic Recruitment
  • Research, design, and implement strategic recruitment activities with supervisors and enrollment management leadership.
  • Administer and assist coordination of recruitment programs, projects, activities, and events to cultivate prospective students.
  • Use analytical tools and research skills to identify new recruitment opportunities and interventions.
  • Stay current on higher education and admissions profession topics.
  • Collaborate with internal campus partners and external stakeholders to support university objectives.
  • Represent the university at professional conferences and related events.
