Description of Primary Duties
Missouri State University-West Plains seeks adjunct faculty to teach mathematics courses.
- Teach assigned course(s).
- Grade students' work in a timely manner.
- Be available to assist students with course-related matters.
- Submit attendance and midterm/final grades by required deadlines.
- Complete course assessments on time.
- Participate in required training.
Classes may be scheduled during the day or evening hours and may be seated, online, blended, or interactive video.
Adjunct faculty members are appointed on a semester basis only. The hours which adjunct faculty are allowed to teach each semester are determined by current regulations. Consult with the office of academic affairs to determine the number of hours allowed.
Minimum Acceptable QualificationsAdjunct faculty should possess a masters degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean. A bachelors degree may be acceptable in certain subject areas as determined by the Dean.
