- Not to exceed $2,460 per semester for 4-day per week work schedule
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
Reports to: Voyagers Liaison/Building Principal
General PurposeThe Voyagers Tutor will deliver instruction and provide educational support to eligible first through sixth grade students who perform below grade level expectations in Literacy and/or Math. Voyagers services are offered to eligible students 90 minutes each day on a schedule determined at the site level, outside of the regular school day as scheduled by each elementary, intermediate, and middle school campus.
EssentialFunctions
- Participates in a Voyagers 2‑hour tutor training session at assigned tutorial site for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform the position’s functions. Trainings for liaisons and tutors will occur prior to the club start date.
- Implement Voyagers curriculum for 20 sessions, 90 minutes per session (Math), 40 sessions, 90 minutes per session (Reading, 2nd‑6th grade), and 40 sessions, 60 minutes per session (Reading, 1st grade, only available at Holland, McGregor, and Westport).
- Prepare all materials for each tutoring session (supplies will be provided).
- Communicate student successes to parents.
- Remain with students after tutoring until all students have been picked up by approved guardian.
- Communicate essential data to site liaison and coordinator on a regular and consistent basis.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to obtain and maintain substitute certificate, or current teaching certificate is required, providing sufficient proof that the process has been started prior to hire (All fees for the initial substitute certificate and renewals, which occurs every 4 years, are the responsibility of the staff member;(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).). Background clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.
