Missouri State University is hiring a Director, Student Learning Services. This role provides strategic leadership for institution-wide tutoring, writing, and supplemental instruction programs that support student retention and academic success. The director sets policy for academic support services, supervises student mentors and tutors, and builds data-informed interventions in collaboration with faculty and academic departments.
Highlights- Lead institution-wide tutoring, writing, and supplemental instruction programs.
- Set policies and operational standards for academic support service delivery.
- Recruit, train, and supervise student tutors, mentors, and graduate assistants.
- Partner with faculty, department heads, and deans to identify academic support needs.
- Develop and monitor assessment plans to evaluate program effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Manage the electronic tutoring management system and oversee the BearCLAW program website.
- Investigate grant opportunities and external funding for academic support initiatives.
- Master's degree and 5+ years of experience with student success initiatives or teaching writing/study skills at the college level required.
- Annual salary of $75,000-$80,000.
