ResponsibilitiesThe primary duty of the Springfield Roadway Team Lead is to manage the roadway design staff on projects for the DOTs and Local Public Agencies in Missouri. The position also builds client relationships, develops pursuits, attracts staff, and works on project delivery in a production role.
Continue to work as a Senior Project Manager capable of pursuing and delivering complex transportation projects for DOT and Local Public Agency clients in southwest Missouri. Familiarity with MoDOT and relationships with city/county staff in the area are important.
Lead feasibility analysis, final design, and projects through the construction phase for urban and rural municipal/local projects, DOT projects, traffic management, site planning, concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans. Coordinate multi-discipline projects including survey, grading, drainage, structures, utilities, and site items.
Supervise a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians. Perform project management, quality assurance/control checks, and technical reviews. Engage in marketing and project pursuit activities, prepare and negotiate proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Maintain day-to-day communication with clients (verbal and written), support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with sub-consultants, and keep projects on schedule and within budget. Perform other duties as needed.
Project Management experience with understanding of Earned Value desirable
Prefer candidates with previous work experience with an A/E/C Engineering firm
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
A minimum of 7 years experience
Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
Strong communication and listening skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments
Good leadership and organizational skills
