Systems Engineer
Our Fortune 500 Client has a Transmission & Distribution division that is looking for a staff Transmission Engineer to join their growing business in their St. Louis offices. The Transmission Engineers are expected to maintain a high attention to detail, possess working knowledge of Transmission Line design, demonstrate ownership of their work, drive for continual improvement, and collaborate effectively with their team and clients in order to make our clients successful.
Majorresponsibilities
- Design of high and extra-high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD.
- Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation assembly drawings.
- Prepare specifications and project design criteria.
- Provide field support during construction.
- The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients as well as provide technical leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.
- Experience in HVDC is a plus.
- Occasional travel to client and project locations will be expected.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience.
- 3 years related transmission line design experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in scheduling and budgeting.
