Salary:Environmental Analyst I
Grade 56
Minimum: $1,263.47/week
Midpoint: $1,547.75
Environmental Analyst II
Grade 57
Minimum: $1,415.81/week
Midpoint: $1,769.76
Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Environmental Analyst I:
Under the direction of the Manager-Environmental Compliance, responsible for general oversight/review of environmental data collection, assimilation, and reporting to regulatory agencies.
Environmental Analyst II:
Under the direction of the Manager-Environmental Compliance, responsible for enhanced oversight of environmental testing, sampling, and waste disposal programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Environmental Analyst I:QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, geology or other environmental discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Graduate coursework or applicable certification may be considered in lieu of one year of the experience requirement.
Environmental Analyst I:
A minimum of three years of recent environmental experience is required.
Environmental Analyst II:
A minimum of six years of recent electric utility and/or relevant environmental compliance experience is required.
Licensing/Certification:
Environmental Analyst I:
Must have a valid driver’s license (minimum Class
F). Professional certification as an environmental professional is preferred.
Environmental Analyst II:
In addition to the Environmental Analyst I, Environmental Analyst II must be a Certified Visual Emissions Observer or be able to obtain certification within six months.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Environmental Analyst I:
- Superior academic performance and strong mathematical, computation, and computer skills.
- Evaluates volumes of data with strict attention to detail.
- Familiar with industrial or laboratory services quality assurance and quality control procedures in relation to analytical instrumentation and equipment.
- Works effectively and efficiently with power plant and water treatment staff and management.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing with utility management and regulatory agency personnel.
- Effectively utilize a range of digital tools and platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, enterprise software, artificial intelligence-enhanced applications, and self-service systems. Must possess a willingness and…
