As an Associate Rotational Engineer, you will build hands-on experience in electrical engineering, mechanical systems, and project management within power generation and utility operations. Through a structured 24-month program, you’ll rotate across assignments that expose you to real-world engineering challenges, capital projects, and plant systems. This is an opportunity to accelerate your career while contributing to the reliable production of energy at Associated Electric Cooperative.

What You’ll DoRotate through assignments focused on electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and engineering project management

Partner with engineers and project teams to support power plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects

Assist in planning, tracking, and executing engineering projects to improve performance and reliability

Analyze system data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend practical engineering solutions

Collaborate across teams to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations

What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program

Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear recommendations

Interest in project management, engineering design, and plant operations

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Willingness and ability to relocate upon completion of the program

Preferred

Internship or co-op experience in power generation, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial environments

Exposure to project management principles or tools

Demonstrated leadership experience through academic or extracurricular activities

Interest in building a long-term career in the energy or utility industry
