Professional Engineer - Public Works - Transportation Engineering

Due to recent promotions, the City of Springfield's Department of Public Works is seeking qualified applicants for a Professional Engineer (with option to underfill as Engineer III, Engineer II, and Engineer I) in the Transportation Engineering Division.

The Transportation Engineering Division of Public Works manages the design and construction of public improvements in the City of Springfield, including streets, intersections, streetscapes, and bridges. The division is also responsible for right-of-way acquisitions for public uses and for surveying public property.

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering discipline;
• Four years of experience in engineering work;
• Engineering experience must be commensurate with assigned specialty area required for current vacancy.

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering discipline;
• Three years progressively responsible engineering experience;
• Must possess an Engineering Intern (EI) certificate from a State Board of registration for Professional Engineers within probationary period;
• Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for the EI certification.

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering discipline;
• Two years progressively responsible engineering experience;
• Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one year of the required work experience.

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering discipline;

• Must possess a Professional Engineer's license for Professional Engineer;
• Must possess MO license as issued by the Missouri State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers within six months of employment.

• Salary range for Professional Engineer: $68,203.20 - $ annually;
• Salary range for Engineer III: $63,523.20 - $ annually;
• Salary range for Engineer II: $56,742.40 - $97,427.20 annually;
• Salary range for Engineer I: $52,208.00 - $89,648.00 annually;
