Role Overview
The Tolling Market Lead partners with local area teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies across the globe. This role champions the identification and development of projects and programs for toll facility clients throughout HDR’s transportation business group and drives the growth of tolling services and programs. The candidate will bring expertise in services such as AET conversions, planning and design, mobility and operational technology, cybersecurity, advisory services, asset management, and more.
Responsibilities- Treat AET conversions and planning/design services for tolling systems.
- Support mobility and operational technology services, including ATST, ITS, CAV, tolling system development, and cybersecurity.
- Provide advisory services such as asset management, ROW, value engineering, funding, and finance.
- Research and share knowledge of tolling market trends and drivers.
- Assist in identifying, pursuing, and delivering tolling opportunities.
- Develop and nurture client relationships with toll agencies and authorities.
- Collaborate with area business development leaders and market sector teams.
- Support TBG region directors in evaluating and prioritizing investments to capture tolling client opportunities.
- PE preferred.
- Recognized leader in the Toll Roads/Toll Facilities space.
- Proven ability to set strategy and execute growth for a practice, ideally in the tolling market.
- Established relationships with major toll clients/DOTs.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
- Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for architecture, engineering, or planning services.
- Experience managing client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits.
- Experience in overall staff development, including recruiting, career path, and professional growth.
- Experience with industry associations and maintaining a visible market‑sector profile.
- Ability to collaborate with various HDR leadership roles.
- Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and employee‑owned culture.

- Colorado: $159,656 - $264,006

- Hawaii: $186,265 - $252,052
- Illinois: $177,395 - $264,006
- Maryland: $186,265 - $252,052
- Minnesota: $159,656 - $252,005
- New Jersey: $204,004 - $300,006
- Nevada: $177,395 - $240,005

- Ohio: $177,395 - $240,005
