Overview

The Waldinger Corporation has an opportunity for a qualified Estimator in our Springfield Office.

Conducts high-level estimation and leads bidding process for small to mid-scale construction projects.

• Estimating:
  Prepare proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Attend pre-bid meetings and/or tour jobs sites to confirm requisite take-offs. Prepare estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work using computerized estimating software.
• Database Management:
  Maintains database of project history and results. Ensures accuracy and integrity of system software, providing all users with updated information.
• Procedures:
  Develops conceptual plan and specification bid procedures and standards to improve consistency and efficiency of the estimating process.
• Client Bid Management:
  Develops successful client relationships, marketing company products and services. Solicits bid schedules from general contractors.

• 3-5 years estimating experience in HVAC, Sheet Metal, and Piping
• Working knowledge of multiple disciplines, estimating techniques and cost control
• Proficiency with computerized estimating software and ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems
• Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines
• Associate's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Technical Training Program Completion
